WHEREAS, Riverset credit union has been in operation in the Pittsburgh area for 75 years; and
WHEREAS, Riverset credit union continues the rich tradition of members service which the Pittsburgh Teachers Credit Union began over 70 years ago and still serves the employees of the Pittsburgh Board of Education and their families; and
WHEREAS, Riverset credit union now, also, offers its services to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, attends school or participates in programs that alleviate poverty in the South Side; and
WHEREAS, Riverset credit union manifests responsibility by living the core values of Integrity, Cooperation, Accountability and being Neighborly; and
WHEREAS, Riverset credit union is a responsible financial organization dedicated to enriching relationships while expanding its cooperative base and striving to be progressive and innovative.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does, hereby, recognize and commend Riverset credit union, on the occasion of their 75th Anniversary, not only for the services they offer to their members but, also, for the support they offer to the community groups and activities of the greater South Side area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the week of March 23 - 27, 2009, Riverset credit union Week, in the City of Pittsburgh.
