Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Information Systems to enter into a grant agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, to receive $127,500 in funding to support the City's Energy & Utilities Manager position and programs in connection with the execution of said grant agreement.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of City Information Systems are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, to receive grant monies in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($127,500.00). These funds will be used to fund the Energy & Utilities Manager position and to expand program participation in the online auction of energy purchasing. Funds will expand online auction service to administer a countywide energy aggregation program for electricity and natural gas to achieve per unit cost reduction for participating entities. The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 450500, fund 2940, organization code 102000, project PR10029, budget year 2009, Mayor's Office, City Information Systems.
Section 2. The Mayor and Director of City Information Systems are hereby further authorized to enter into an Agreement(s) or Contract(s) and/or utilize existing Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s), in form approved by the City Solicitor, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, outlined in Section 1 of this resolution.
