Title
Resolution authorizing the submission of an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program grant of up to $20,000,000.  (Council Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9).
 
bODY
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to submit an application, together with any amendments thereto, to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program ("NSP") grant of up to $20,000,000 to be used for acquisition, rehabilitation, remediation, demolition, relocation, site preparation, infrastructure improvements and/or redevelopment in various neighborhoods in the City of Pittsburgh and to execute a Statement of Assurances and a Disclosure Report and any other necessary or appropriate documents required in connection with the application.
 
Section 2.      The City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for any expenditure of NSP funds found by DCED to be ineligible.
 
Section 3.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration and implementation of the Program and is authorized to execute any required documents and instruments on behalf of the City and to draw down grant funds directly from DCED.
