Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to dedicate a part of the City owned Parcel 114-E-1 in the 27th Ward, 1st Council District of the City of Pittsburgh for the widening of California Avenue and to accept from the County of Allegheny part of their Parcel 114-F-282 to also widen California Avenue and a corner of Windhurst Street for the Jacks Run Bridge No.1 Rehabilitation by the Allegheny County Department of Public Works.

Whereas said part of City of Pittsburgh Parcel 114-E-1 is not needed by the City of Pittsburgh.
Whereas the County of Allegheny Department of Public Works requires a part of their Parcel 114-E-1 for the required addition of the right-of-way of California Avenue for intersection improvement in conjunction with the rehabilitation for the Jacks Run Bridge No.1 Project.
Whereas the County of Allegheny will also dedicate part of their Parcel 114-F-282 for the widening of California Avenue at the widening of a corner of Windhurst Street for the Jacks Run Bridge No.1 Rehabilitation.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The proper officers of The City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to dedicate a portion of Parcel 114-E-1 for the widening of California Avenue and also to accept from Allegheny County a portion of their Parcel 114-F-282 for dedication of the widening of California Avenue and a corner of Windhurst Street for the Jacks Run Bridge No.1 Rehabilitation and its intersection with California Avenue and Windhurst Street.
The required dedication and acceptance are indicated on "Attachment A" and are described as follows:
Dedicating part of the City of Pittsburg Parcel 114-E-1 described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeast corner of Parcel 114-E-1 in the 27th Ward being a triangle shaped plot of land having frontage on California Avenue; thence from said point
North 37° 52' 51" West a distance of 56.75 feet to a point; thence South 37°52'51" East a distance of 58 feet to a point on Windhurst Street, presently an unopened right-of-way; thence
North 40°04'48" West a distance of 11.98 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 340 square feet of area.
Accepting part of County of Allegheny Parcel 114-F-282 described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northerly line of California Avenue said point also being the Southerly line of Allegheny County Parcel 114-F-282 at station number 107 and 58 as per "Attachment A", County of Allegheny Jack Run Bridge No. 1 Roadway Plan at a point being the true place of beginning; thence
(1) North 52°07'09" East a distance of 10.0 feet to a point; thence by a line parallel to California Avenue South 37°52'51" East a distance of 105.0 feet; thence
(2) South 52° 07'09" West a distance of 10.0 feet to a point on the Northerly line of California Avenue; thence along said California Avenue
(3) North 37'52'51" West a distance of 105.0 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 1050 square feet of area.
Accepting another part of County of Allegheny Parcel 114-F-282 at the corner of Windhurst Street described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northern line of California Avenue said point also being the Southerly line of Allegheny County Parcel 114-F-282 at station number 108 + 86 as per "Attachment A".
(1) County of Allegheny Jacks Run Bridge No.1 Roadway Plan at a point being the true place of beginning; thence
(2) North 52°07'09" East as distance of 25.0 feet to a point; thence
(3) South 37°52'51" East a distance of 7.0 feet to a point on the Westerly line of Windhurst Street; thence
(4) Continuing on the Westerly line of Windhurst Street South 40°04'48´West a distance of 23.0 feet to a point at the corner of Windhurst Street and California Avenue; thence continue on California Avenue
(5) North 49°55'12" West a distance of 12.06 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 226 square feet in area.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said dedication and acceptance shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
(a) Any costs pertaining to the dedication and acceptance of right-of way will be paid by Allegheny County Department of Public Works.
