Whereas, by Resolution No. 618, effective November 21, 2008, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh authorized a cooperation agreement or agreements with Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”) providing for the conversation of the property at 830 Warrington Avenue into the Zone 3 police station at a cost not to exceed $1,800,000; and

Whereas, Council has appropriated $1,500,000 for the project and wishes to amend Resolution No. 618;

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 618, effective November 21, 2008, which currently reads as follows:

“Section 1. The Mayor and the Directors of the Departments of Public Safety and Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a cooperation agreement or agreements with URA, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, providing for the performance by URA of certain work in connection with the conversion of the Property into the Zone 3 police station, including, but not limited to, preliminary design and feasibility studies, design development, construction document preparation, architectural, engineering, environmental, appraisal and construction contracts, real estate sales agreements and options, and related necessary or appropriate contracts and work in an amount not to exceed One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,800,000).”
