Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      Resolution No. 556 of 2008, effective 10-20-08 is hereby amended as follows:
 
 
"Section 1.      The Mayor and the Directors of Public Safety and City Planning are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement or agreements or contract or contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, with the University of Pittsburgh and Professor David Kennedy of the City University of New York for the purpose of designing and implementing the Pittsburgh Initiative to Reduce Crime.
 
The Controller is hereby authorized and directed to encumber the funds for the agreement or contract upon execution of said agreement(s) or contract(s). The total amount of said agreement(s) or contract(s) shall not exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00), chargeable to and payable from the following: organization 230000, subclass 150, account 526100, fund 1000, budget year 2008."
