Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to enter into an Agreement or Agreements providing for the sale of the City's Municipal Courts Building to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the sum of Nine Million Dollars.

Body

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements providing for the sale of the City's Municipal Courts Building to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the sum of Nine Million Dollars ($9,000,000.00). The Sale shall be subject to proper closing costs and pro-rations and provide for the payment of the costs thereof.  The Mayor and appropriate City officials are further authorized to execute a deed transferring title of the Municipal Courts Building to the Commonwealth.  The Sales Agreement and deed shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.  

Section 2.  Proceeds of the subject sale shall be deposited into designated accounts for expenditure on capital projects according to applicable Commonwealth requirements.
