Ordinance supplementing the Pittsburgh Code, Title Nine, Zoning; Chapter 911, Primary Uses, Section 911.02 Use Table, by amending existing language in the definition of Custodial Care Facility.

Body

The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.      The Pittsburgh Code, Title Nine, Zoning; Chapter 911, Primary Uses, Section 911.02 Use Table, is hereby amended as follows:

911.02.      Use Table.

Custodial Care Facility is a facility providing custodial care and treatment in a protective [living] environment for persons residing or attending by court placement, [including, without limitation,] post-correctional facilities, juvenile detention facilities, [and] temporary detention facilities, and halfway houses.  This includes halfway houses and similar facilities for people on probation or parole [who have been placed there as a condition of a judicial order,] and halfway houses for people leaving a correctional facility or placed there as a form of alternative sentencing.
