Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to accept deeds from the Urban Redevelopment Authority for seven (7) parcels of land in the 22nd Ward in the Allegheny Center and Allegheny South Renewal Areas that were designated to be transferred to the City of Pittsburgh for public parks purposes.
Body
Whereas, the Board of the Urban Redevelopment Authority on September 14, 2006 with Resolution No. 314 has authorized to convey to the City of Pittsburgh the following seven (7) parcels of land:
Block 8-B, Lots 38, 39, 40, 50
Block 8-D, Lots 15, 200
Block 8-G, Lot 250
Whereas, these seven (7) parcels have been functioning for Parks and Recreation use as part of Allegheny Commons in East and West Parks; and
Whereas, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Pittsburgh has requested that these seven (7) parcels be transferred to the City of Pittsburgh for Parks and Recreation use.
Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. That the proper officers of the City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to accept these deeds, in form approved by the City Solicitor, from the Urban Redevelopment Authority for the following parcels of land:
- Allegheny Center Renewal Area
URA Disposition Parcel No. Block and Lot No.
No. 11 8-D-15
No. 13 8-G-250
No. 20 8-B-38, 39, 40 and 50
Allegheny South Renewal Area No. 12
URA Disposition Parcel No. Block and Lot No.
No. 3 8-D-200
Section 2 The said conveyance shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
a) All State and local transfer taxes, if any, shall be paid by the purchaser.
b) All proper closing charges shall be paid by the purchaser.
c) Cost of transfer and recording of deeds to be paid from Code Account 525500, Fund 1000, Organization 500000, Sub/Class 150, Budget Year 2007 in the Department of Parks and Recreation.
