WHEREAS, Lynn Wabby is the wife of Ron Wabby, head coach of the Brashear High School Football Team; and
WHEREAS, for more than 20 years, Lynn Wabby has cooked and served a pre-game pasta dinner for all of the Brashear football players and coaches, and she has done this for every game, including playoffs; and
WHEREAS, during those more than 20 years, Lynn Wabby has served as pre-game cook, surrogate mother and unofficial counselor to over 1,000 football players and coaches; and
WHEREAS, to date, Lynn Wabby and the volunteers she recruits from the Brashear football community have served over 160,000 pasta dinners to the players and coaches; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates and commends Lynn Wabby for over 20 years of dedicated service to the Brashear Football Team.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that today, December 19, 2005, be hereby declared "Lynn Wabby Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
