Resolution vacating a portion of Tasso Street, Bristol Street, Chambers Way and Unnamed Ways in the 15th Ward, 5th Council District, of the City of Pittsburgh

Body
WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the Office of the City Clerk that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of a portion of Tasso Street, Bristol Street, Chambers Way and Unnamed Ways in the 15th Ward, 5th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and

WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the City from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by any persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation; therefore

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. That vacating the following:

Tasso Street, 40' wide, from Ilion Street southwest to its terminus, 23,862 square feet;

Bristol Street, 40' wide, from Ilion Street to Home Rule Street, 31,893 square feet;

Chambers Way, 20' wide, from the northern limits of Lot and block 55-K-177 and 55-K-172 southward to its terminus, 6,317 square feet;

Unnamed Way, 20' wide, from Chambers Way to Tasso Street, an average distance of 201.46 feet, containing 4,029 square feet;

Unnamed Way, 20' wide from its previously vacated portion (Resolution 524 of 1989), from Bristol Street southwest to its dead end, adjacent to Lots 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84 in the Harvey Place Plan of lots, 4,443 square feet, an average distance of 222.13 feet;

all located in the Harvey Place Plan of Lots, recorded April 26, 1893, Volume 13, page 181, and the John D. Scully and Charles E. Speer Plan of Lots, recorded June 19, 1886, Volume 9, page 36, situate in the 15th Ward...
