Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a Data Sharing Agreement with the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development ("PPND"), a non-profit corporation located at Regional Enterprise Tower, 425 Sixth Avenue, Suite 1740, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 for the sharing of certain proprietary information.
Body
WHEREAS, City has data concerning local and neighborhood conditions in the City and is willing to provide such data to PPND for the purpose of the creation and development by PPND, together with Carnegie-Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, of a Community Information System; and
WHEREAS, PPND desires to receive the City-owned data concerning local communities and neighborhoods in order to complement the data within the Community Information System; and
WHEREAS, the Community Information System, as a neighborhood diagnostic system connecting property survey data and local government administrative data in a geographic context, is designed to be the comprehensive instrument for the provision to subscribers of the System of data for use in furthering community development and revitalization in the City of Pittsburgh;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning are authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into a Data Sharing Agreement with the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development ("PPND"), a non-profit corporation, for the sole purpose of supplementing and developing the Community Information System.
Section 2. The data provided by the City shall be data that meets the statutory definition of a Public Record in accordance with the Right to Know Law, Act of June 29, 2002, P.L. 663, No. 100, 66 P.S. ยง 66.1 et seq, as amended.
