Title: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes this outstanding young man, Justin O'Toole of Troop 6 and commends him for his commitment to the betterment of his community and his great personal achievement.

WHEREAS, Justin O'Toole began his scouting career as a first grader by joining Tiger Cub Pack 601 at Resurrection Church where his parents Michele and Kevin O'Toole have been long-time leaders, and proceeded to earn Cub Scouting's highest honor, the Arrow of Light; and
 
WHEREAS, upon joining Boy Scout Troop 6 in 2000 Justin served as Troop Librarian, Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader while also helping Pack 601 by serving as its Den Chief at Cub Camp for two years; and  
 
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Dave Harper Justin was elected to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society and completed a Junior Leadership Training Course and is now serving as a Junior Assistant Scout Master in the Troop; and  
 
WHEREAS, in addition to scouting activities Justin is an Alter Server for his parish, plays the clarinet in the concert and marching bands at Seton-La Salle High School, plays on a neighborhood soccer team and volunteers with the Brookline Chamber of Commerce and the Brookline Regional Catholic School's robotics club; and
 
WHEREAS, to complete the requirements of Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts of America's highest honor, Justin's Eagle Scout Project consisted of the planning, designing and construction of a picnic area for Fairhaven Greenway that will be used by volunteers who work in Overbrook performing trail maintenance.
