Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, recognizes and commends The Pittsburgh Job Corps Center for their efforts to produce successful young men and women that benefit the Commonwealth by ensuring quality citizens for the next millennium and we salute Ms. Libman for her ongoing dedication.

Whereas, on Thursday, September 29, 2005, the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center will celebrate Job Corps 40th Anniversary and will host their annual Scholarship Dinner and Auction at Jimmy G's Restaurant in Sharpsburg; and    
 
Whereas, the Pittsburgh Job Corps opened in January 1972 to 200 men. It currently serves over 850 young men and women. It is operated by ResCare, Incorporation; and
 
Whereas, the Pittsburgh Job Corps offers the following vocational trades: Business Office Technology, Culinary Arts, Facilities Maintenance, Cabling, Networking Systems, Health Occupations, Heavy Equipment Operator and Heavy Equipment Mechanic plus Manufacturing. In addition, more than 432 students who participate in the Off-Center Training Program attend Community College of Allegheny County; and
 
Whereas, Keitha Ann Libman, has played a major role in the Pittsburgh office as Business Community Relations Administrator. Ms. Libman will be leaving the Pittsburgh office after 18 years of dedicated service, relocating to the West Coast. We thank Ms. Libman for her continuous commitment through her works at Job Corps and wish her much success in the future.
