Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby wish Edgar M. Davidson a very happy birthday; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh declares Saturday October 1, 2005 to be "Edgar M. Davidson Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson was born in Ambridge Pennsylvania on October 1, 1915; and,
 
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson is a graduate of Ambridge High School and the University of Michigan; and,
 
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson married and has been married to the former Sara Richman since July 8, 1941; and,
 
WHEREAS, in 1950 Edgar M. Davidson moved with his wife, his daughter Harriet Davidson Baum and his son Alan Bruce Davidson to the City of Pittsburgh to live near family, enhance their cultural lives and join the Pittsburgh community; and,
 
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson is the father-in-law of Nance Jacobson Davidson and Raymond N. Baum and the grandfather of Erica Baum Coffey and Kevin Michael Baum; and,
      
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson and Sara Davidson have resided in the City of Pittsburgh as productive citizens for the past 55 years; and,
 
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson was a small business man and entrepreneur for over 40 years; and,
 
WHEREAS, Edgar M. Davidson has been a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many; and,
 
WHEREAS, the friends and family of Edgar M. Davidson will gather on October 1, 2005 at the Concordia Club in the City of Pittsburgh to celebrate the 90TH birthday of Edgar M. Davidson.
