Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh CONGRATULATES and COMMENDS the Super Colt team, Coaches and the Washington Heights Athletic Association on a TREMENDOUS season. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday, August 8th, 2005 is declared "WHAA SUPER COLTS DAY" in the City of Pittsburgh.

Body      WHEREAS, the Washington Heights Athletic Association represents Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights; and
 
      WHEREAS, the Super Colt team, ages 17 to 19 consists of players,             Eric Masucci, Matt Crowley, Josh McCollough, Steve Crowley, Casey Quinn, Joe Barry, Jeff Donatelli, Josh Niswonger, Brenden Graney, Andrew Graney, Brian Reft, Matt Stanziano, Jimmy Little and Bill Urbanic, Team Mascot Austin Michael Leibro, coaches Leo Little, Bill Urbanic, Vince Liebro and Head Coach Tony Liebro; and
 
      WHEREAS, the Super Colt team had a 10 and 2 record during the regular season, won in the playoffs and on Sunday, July 31, 2005, went on to win the Mayor's Cup City Championship at PNC Park against Brighton Heights by a score of 7 to 3; and
 
      WHEREAS, the game was capped by yet another great pitching performance by Brenden Graney and Matt Stanziano,. with key hits by Bill Urbanic, Matt Crowley, Joe Barry and the game winning triple by Jimmy Little;. There were also some outstanding plays in the field including a catch at the wall in right field by Steve Crowley; and
 
      WHEREAS, this same group of players was also the Mount Washington American Legion Team with a record of 14-8 in American Legion league, making the playoffs for the first time as a Mount Washington team in recent history; They played various teams from all over Allegheny County and acted as emissaries not only for Mt. Washington but for the City of Pittsburgh as a whole.
