Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Commission on Human Relations are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements for the hiring of legal counsel to provide representation to complaints in fair housing suits who have elected to proceed through the Court of Common Pleas or at a public hearing before the Commission on Human Relations and are not represented by legal counsel, as is permitted under the City of Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Section 655.06(e), at a cost not to exceed TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00) chargeable to and payable from the HUD Trust Fund.  Applicable PEOPLESOFT information is as follows:  Fund  2630, Org. 105000, Sub 600, Account 526100, Budget Year 2005.
 
This same account shall be used for the deposit of any and all money received pursuant to the provisions of the Fair Housing Act which authorize the reimbursement of expenses incurred by local anti-discrimination agencies in providing the type of legal representation to fair housing complainants which is authorized above.
