Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does recognize and commend Jacque Fielder for her tireless work and effective leadership towards the goals of making Pittsburgh a more peaceful and loving place.

Whereas, in 1996 Reverend Jacque Fielder founded the Concerned Citizens of Greater Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization devoted to cultivating youth leadership and activism by reducing violence and directing attention to high risk youth; and
 
Whereas, after a vocation in 1984 Jacque Fielder undertook years of intensive Bible study and ministerial training and was ordained in 1995.  She now holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling as a Cum Laude graduate of Andersonville Theological Seminary; and
 
Whereas, Reverend Fielder's involvement in the community began long before her ordination.  At the early age of 16, she formed the Greater Pittsburgh Youth Organization which aimed to reduce youth violence through mentoring and positive role modeling and has been a leader in efforts to improve the community ever since; and
 
Whereas, Jacque Fielder, as Chairperson for the 12th Ward of the Allegheny Democratic Committee, directs her energies to political issues, as well as spiritual and community concerns; and
 
Whereas, Jacque Fielder's influence spreads further than her these works alone due to her dedicated and skillful training of other community and organization leaders.
