WHEREAS, the Ateleta Beneficial Men's Society was organized 80 years ago in the Bloomfield Neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh by men from Ateleta, Abruzzi Italy, who wished to share and enrich their Italian Heritage on American soil through traditions, strength of character and organizational skills; and
WHEREAS, the officers, trustees and members have provided the stability that has allowed longevity of the organization to be maintained for eight decades; and
WHEREAS, a tribute to their cause is paid today to Umberto Buccigrossi, Phil Catone, Domenico Cicone, Anthony LeDonne, Anthony LeDonne, Bruno LeDonne, Robert LeDonne, Roberto LeDonne, Claudio Mascerelli, Phil Mastroianni, Rudolfo Ranallo, Frank Ricci; the late Nello Santello, Italo Sciullo, Jack Sciullo, and Tony Sciullo; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh salutes the men of Ateleta, Abruzzi for 80 years of dedication, accomplishments, contributions, distinguished leadership and service in enriching Italian-American Culture and Heritage in the City of Pittsburgh; and

NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that today, November 26, 2004 be hereby declared "Ateleta Beneficial Men's Society Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
