Title
Resolution authorizing the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh to submit an Amendatory Application to the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget for a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant in the amount of $5,000,000 for the Nine Mile Run project.  (Council District No. 5)
 
Body
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") obtained a $7,500,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program ("RACP") grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget (the "Commonwealth") for the Nine Mile Run project (the "Project"); and
 
Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh (the "City") and URA wish to obtain an additional $5,000,000 RACP grant for the Project; and
 
Whereas, URA has prepared an amendatory application which is available at URA's offices; and
 
Whereas, the Commonwealth requires the City to agree to reimburse it for any expenditures of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible;
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to file an amendatory application with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget for a grant under the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program in the amount of $5,000,000 for the Project.
 
Section 2.  The City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth for any expenditures of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible.
