NEGATIVE RECOMMENDATION

Title
Resolution vacating portions of Carsell Street and Goebel Street in the 21st Ward, 6th Council District, of the City of Pittsburgh.

Body
Whereas, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the Office of the City Clerk that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of Carsell Street and Goebel Street in the 21st Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and

Whereas, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the city from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by any persons whatsoever abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation;therefore.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.

1. All that certain street to be vacated, being Carsell Way, situate in the 21st Ward, City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:

Beginning at a point at the intersection of the northerly right of way line of Carsell Way, 25.00 feet wide, and the westerly right of Fulton Street, 40.00 feet wide, said point being S 12° 29' 29” E a distance of 115.5 feet, more or less, from a point at the intersection of the northerly right of way line of Western Avenue, 55.00 feet wide, and the westerly right of Futlon Street; thence from said point of beginning by the westerly right of way line of Fulton Street S 12° 29' 29” E a distance of 25.00 feet to a point on the southerly right of way line of Carsell Way; thence by the southerly right of way line of Carsell Way S 77° 30' 31” W a distance of 363.29 feet to a point on the easterly right of way line of the West End Bridge, State Route No. 0019, variable width; thence by the easterly right of way line of the West En...
