Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Contract or Contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor: FORD & COUNCIL shall engage in legal counsel for defense of workers' compensation, to include subrogation's, against the City at a cost not to exceed $ 30,000 (Thirty thousand dollars) chargeable and payable from Code Account 44-9, Workers' Compensation Program Medical/Administration, Index Code 004499, Account 574300 571000, Fund 1000 8170, Organization 999300, Sub Class 040 600, and Budget Year 2004, Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission.
