WHEREAS, the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association (“SHNA”) is a charitable organization dedicated to serving the Stanton Heights community in Pittsburgh’s East End for several years; and,

WHEREAS, the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association works to develop and promote Stanton Heights’ community and identity, and improve the security and quality of life for the residents of Stanton Heights; and,
WHEREAS, the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association works to support residents by coordinating volunteers to clean and maintain community green spaces, by working to improve the safety and accessibility of our roads and sidewalks for everyone, by bringing neighbors together and promoting local businesses at its Stanton Heights Community Day, as well as many more neighborhood activities; and,
WHEREAS, the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association desires to have small games for the purpose of raising funds to continue serving residents of the community; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognize the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association to be a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
