Resolution approving Execution of a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Housing Development Corporation, or an entity to be formed, for the Sale of URA-owned Property within Disposition Parcels 2, 3A, 3B, 5, 6, 20 and 22, in the 3rd and 5th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh, in Redevelopment Area Nos. 31 and 42 (Council District No. 6 - Roberts Street, Webster Avenue, Devilliers Street, Davenport Street, Erin Street - Sales Housing Construction/Rehabilitation).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. 190, effective April 5, 2000, and in the manner prescribed by the Urban Redevelopment Law, Act of May 24, 1945, P.L. 991, as amended, the Bedford Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area Nos. 31 and 42 in the 3rd and 5th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh was approved; and
Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh has approved the amended Bedford Redevelopment Proposal, including Modification No. 1 to the Redevelopment Area Plan; and
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Housing Development Corporation, or an entity to be formed, in connection with the sale of URA-owned property within Disposition Parcels 2, 3A, 3B, 5, 6, 20 and 22 for $1.00 plus costs, said property being located in Redevelopment Area Nos. 31 and 42 in the 3rd and 5th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh; and
Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed Contract is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and the desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.
