Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements and amendments thereto with Medical Debt Resolution, Inc., d/b/a RIP Medical Debt for services relating to the purchasing and retiring of medical debt for certain City of Pittsburgh residents, for a sum not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00).

 

Funds shall be paid from the American Rescue Plan Trust Fund, JDE account 0222905500.53901.00.

 

Section 2.                     Per U.S. Department of Treasury guidance, all funds must be obligated by December 31, 2024 and spent by December 31, 2026.

 

Section 3.                     Said Agreement or Agreements shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form.
