Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement with the University of Pittsburgh Government Relations and Advocacy office for the CommUnity Concert series, from which the City will receive a fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00).

WHEREAS, this summer, the City created a CommUnity Concert series, held in various parks or neighborhoods, on the last Saturday of April, May, June, July & August; and

 

WHEREAS, the University of Pittsburgh Government Relations and Advocacy office desires to provide the City with a financial donation to support the CommUnity Concert series for the Summer of 2023, and the parties wish to enter into a supporting sponsorship agreement.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation are authorized to enter into a supporting sponsorship agreement with University of Pittsburgh Government Relations and Advocacy office for the 2023 CommUnity Concert series. The fee due from the University of Pittsburgh for this purpose is Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00), to be paid to the Treasurer, City of Pittsburgh, and deposited into the following account: JDE 5000731400.48106.00

 

Section 2.                     The supporting sponsorship agreement may also include a Right of First Refusal for the University of Pittsburgh to enter into further negotiations with the City to continue its sponsorship status in a similar capacity, subject to further negotiations by the parties and legislative authorization, as applicable. The supporting sponsorship agreement must be approved by the Solicitor as to form.

 

Said agreement(s) shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
