WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure wishes to begin slide remediation work along Saline Street in order to protect and preserve adjacent public transportation infrastructure; and

WHEREAS, performance of this public work requires access to certain private properties in the area on a temporary basis for construction work;

WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into easements and any other property rights as needed, in lieu of taking by eminent domain, that are necessary to complete the aforementioned slide remediation work along Saline Street.


Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. In the interest of protecting and preserving public infrastructure and in order to complete a slide remediation project in the area of Saline Street, the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh and in lieu of taking by eminent domain, is authorized to enter to easements, temporary construction easements, or other property agreements with owners of certain properties in the 15th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, designated as Parcels 54-J-188, 54-J-189, and 54-J-190 and as further depicted in the Project Plan attached hereto as Exhibit A. Entering into these temporary construction easements will come at a cost to the City of Pittsburgh of Three Dollars ($3.00); chargeable and payable from the following account:
