The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1: Ordinance creating Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances Title 1, Administration; Article VII, Chapter 172, Citizen Petition for Public Parks Hearing Disclaimer.

(a)                     If any resident exercises their right to petition for a hearing, established under Section 320 of the Home Rule Charter for the City of Pittsburgh, regarding the change of use of a City Park or Greenway, then the City Council Clerk must notify petitioners of the existence of the Pennsylvania Dedicated and Donated Property Act and residents right to defend the public trust.

(b)                     The disclaimer must be provided in writing to the petitioners in any form of communication, including but not limited to email, mail, and/or hand delivered letter at the hearing.
