WHEREAS, LGA Partners, a woman led architectural firm founded in 1993 by Suzan Lami and succeeded by Paulette Burns, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary; and,

WHEREAS, initially started as a home-grown endeavor in an attic in Edgewood, LGA Partners has since grown to an over 75-member team that will be moving to a 20,000 square foot space in Gateway Center in the fall of 2023; and,
WHEREAS, LGA is committed to design that is rigorously considered, technically innovative, and responsive to context and precedent, a disciplined process that guarantees successful project outcomes; and,
WHEREAS, staying true to their motto of “Design that works”, LGA Partners has overseen some of the region’s most significant projects, including the new headquarters for GNC and Aurora Innovations, restacking the historic Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, reimagining the concept of affordable housing at Hawkins Village, highlighting the black and gold Steelers pro shop at Acrisure Stadium, and reinvisioning the passenger experience at the Pittsburgh International Airport;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare May 31, 2023 to be “LGA Partners Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
