WHEREAS, The Obama Eagles Girls Basketball Team is still a dynamic combination of resiliency, hard work and beauty inside and out. They just won their second consecutive City League Girls Championship defeating Allderdice 75-29. It was the 23rd consecutive section win and their sixth championship in 12 seasons; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Monique N. McCoy and Assistant Coach Michael Fitzgerald worked together as a team, demonstrating teamwork, dedication, commitment to excellence and leading by example; and
WHEREAS, this year the Pittsburgh Obama Girls Basketball Team recorded a 17-4 record winning on their way to become back to back City League Girls Basketball Champions in 2022-2023. This achievement represents the Obama Girls Basketball Team’s sixth city league title in the past twelve years; and
WHEREAS, the following are members of the 2022-2023 Championship Team and are very deserving of recognition for their success:
