Title: WHEREAS, Logan Walters began his scouting career in 2013 at the age of 8 before earning the Cub Scouts highest honor, the Arrow of Light in the spring of 2016, and;

WHEREAS, Logan Walters began his scouting career in 2013 at the age of 8 before earning the Cub Scouts highest honor, the Arrow of Light in the spring of 2016, and;

WHEREAS, Logan has held several leadership positions in his Scout Troop including, Den Chief, Troop Guide, Flag Coordinator, and Patrol Leader. Logan was also inducted into the OA in 2020 and was promoted into the Brotherhood in 2021, and;

 

WHEREAS, Logan’s Eagle Scout Project was to rebuild a retaining wall at the Oliver Miller Homestead. This was completed over 3 weekends and consisted of demolishing the old retaining wall and building a new one, with a fire escape for the top of the barn. 15 people and 103-man hours were put into this successful project, and;

 

WHEREAS, Logan has many achievements including, being an acolyte at his church, completing his confirmation class, and becoming a full member of the church. Logan runs a board gaming club and is a member of the school soccer and swimming team, and;

 

WHEREAS, Logan has many academic achievements, while in high school Logan took AP Computer Science Principals and Competitive Robotics. Taking classes like this have allowed Logan decide to pursue a career in technology, and;

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend; Logan Walters and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, May 5, 2023 to be “Logan Walters Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
