Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a professional services agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the display of a fireworks show in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival at an amount not to exceed EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($80,000).

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh requires as part of its Independence Day Festival, professional services for a fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, Starfire Corporation, was selected through a competitive process as qualified for the performance of said professional services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh now wishes to enter into an agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the performance of a fireworks display in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the display of a fireworks show in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival at an amount not to exceed EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($80,000) authorized and appropriated from the following code account: 5000731400.53901.00.
Section 2. Said agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
