WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Police Fort Pitt Lodge #1 is the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protect and serve our communities; and,

WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Fort Pitt Lodge #1 is committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those they serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation; and,

 

WHEREAS, FOP Fort Pitt Lodge #1 is hosting its Annual Retirement and Awards Dinner Party Friday, March 3, 2023 at 1070 Banksville Road, Pittsburgh, PA  15216; and

 

WHEREAS, the following 44 officers who retired from the City of Pittsburgh Police Bureau in the year 2021 are being honored: Dwayne Workman, Frank Mlay, Yolanda Roberts, Valerie Milie, Drew Bey, DeMichael Holmes, Michael Pilyih, John Suzensky, Lynn Kohnfelder, David C. Weber, Mark Adametz, Lawrence Skinger, Paul Roetter, Joseph Tersak, Patrick Moffatt, Shannon Davis, Thomas Broderick, David Roberts, Thomas Pauley, William DeSchon, Ronald Tardivo, Barry Joyce, Roy Cochrane, Reyne Kacsuta, Karen Dixon, Mark Connelly, Roosevelt Copeland, Mildred Jenkins, Duane Schick, Daniel M. Herrmann, David W. Eynon, Nathaniel S. Burtt, Frederick Miller, Joseph Bielevicz, Sylvester Wright, Paul Kirby, Craig Sullivan, Sean Duffy, Ron Absten, Sentara Talley, Theodore Geyser, Chad Finney, Steven Crichley, and Matthew Gauntner; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby commend the 2021 retirees for their dedication and commitment to protecting and servicing the people of the City of Pittsburgh; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, March 3, 2023 to be “FOP Fort Pitt Lodge #1 2021 Retirees Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
