Title: WHEREAS, Monique Jackson was working on August 30, 2022 as a Parking Enforcement Officer for the Pittsburgh Parking Authority; and,

WHEREAS, Monique Jackson was working on August 30, 2022 as a Parking Enforcement Officer for the Pittsburgh Parking Authority; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson was working on Sandusky Street that day, on the Northside of Pittsburgh; and, 

 

WHEREAS, while doing her job, Ms. Jackson discovered an unconscious woman lying on the ground and called 911; and,

 

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson was instructed by the 911 dispatcher to conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until an ambulance and police could arrive on the scene; and,

 

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson’s swift and effective performance of CPR saved this woman’s life; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Executive Director, the Board, and the staff of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority recognize and celebrate outstanding commitment to and performance of duty and commitment by the employees of the Authority.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh declares Tuesday, November 29, 2022 to be Monique Jackson Day here in our City of Pittsburgh.
