WHEREAS, Serena Marie Taylor was born and raised in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Richard and Xiomara Taylor and the youngest of eight children; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Taylor graduated in from Uniontown High School with the highest honors in June of 2022. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and a cheerleader; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Taylor has participated in a Special Olympics softball games with special needs people; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Taylor is currently attending Fairmont State University majoring in Forensic Science, and minoring in Chemistry with the goal of becoming a DNA analyst; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Ms. Taylor for her dedication to academic excellence and community service; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, November 4, 2022, to be “Serena Marie Taylor Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
