Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the purpose of receiving and spending grant funds in the amount of ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-ONE CENTS ($1,718,181.81), with a local match of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTEEN DOLLARS AND NINETEEN CENTS ($171,818.19), for the purchase of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) in order to receive a grant award from the Assistance to Firefighters Fund for ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-ONE CENTS ($1,718,181.81) to purchase SCBAs. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 2529400404.45703.00
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, to make all legitimate expenditures required by said Agreement(s) as outlined in Section 1. Said expenditures shall not to exceed ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-ONE CENTS ($1,718,181.81), chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expense account in the Grants Trust Fund job number 2529400404.
Section 3. The local match of ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTEEN DOLLARS AND NINETEEN CENTS ($171,818.19) shall come from the 2023 Capital Budget JDE Number 2575580123 for a total project cost of ONE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,890,000.00).
