Whereas, Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation is a community development organization focused on racial equity, economic development and increasing Hispanic investment in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and specializes in addressing cross-cultural challenges that inhibit the ability of entrepreneurs to maximize potential; and,

Whereas, Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation business incubator program provides a multicultural space where entrepreneurs can meet with experienced multilingual staff who understand the perspective of a Hispanic in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Their mentorship guides entrepreneurs to create business plans, cash flow projections, balance sheets, market analyses and to identify financing strategies; and,
Whereas, Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation services further include support for existing businesses, housing procurement and sustainability, employment cultivation, health and wellness initiatives, and education opportunities; and,
Whereas, Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation continues to excel in its mission by providing services that have led to community cultural, social and economic enrichment;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation on its decade of excellent work on behalf of Latino immigrants, business owners and City of Pittsburgh residents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday, October 13, 2022 to be “Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
