Resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh to receive grant funding and technical assistance from Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, Inc. for the 2022 cohort of Financial Empowerment Cities, intended to create an Office of Financial Empowerment, in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND ($170,000.00) dollars, and authorizing expenditures for this stated purpose.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh is authorized to receive grant funding and technical assistance from Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, Inc. for the 2022 cohort of Financial Empowerment Cities, intended to create an Office of Financial Empowerment in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND ($170,000.00) dollars. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund 0229400390.48311.00
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh is further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, for expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND ($170,000.00) dollars for the 2022 cohort of Financial Empowerment Cities, intended to create an Office of Financial Empowerment, chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expenditure line in the Grants Trust Fund account 0229400390.
Section 3. The local match of $120,000.00 shall come from the 2022 and 2023 Operating Budgets ($60,000.00 each year from JDE job numbers 11101.102100.53901.2022 and 11101.102100.53901.2023) for a total project cost of TWO HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND ($290,000.00) dollars.
