Title

Ordinance amending and supplementing the Pittsburgh Code, Title Seven: Business Licensing, Article V: Trade Occupations, Chapter 751 General Contractor Registration, § 751.04: Duties, by adding language to require registered contractors to maintain certain records and documentation related to subcontractors.

 

 

Body

SECTION 1.  Title Seven: Business Licensing, Article V: Trade Occupations, Chapter 751 General Contractor Registration, § 751.04: Duties, is amended and supplemented as follows:

 

§ 751.04 DUTIES

 

(a) All work, including subcontracted work, shall be performed by a registered contractor in accordance with Title 10, Building, of the Pittsburgh Code.

 

(b) Each registered contractor shall maintain records of the locations at which waste generated in the course of its activities is disposed and shall, upon request of the License Officer or his or her representative, make such records available for inspection.

 

(c) Each registered contractor shall maintain records of all subcontractors working at the job site, and provide documentation of the subcontractors in a form approved by the License Officer. Subcontractors include any and all business, entities or persons that carry out work related to regulated activity under Title 10, Building.

 

 

SECTION 2.

 

This Ordinance shall take effect 270 days after signature by the Mayor.
