Title

Resolution granting a vacation of an unopened portion of Bryant Street, laid out in the Morningside Manor Plan of Lots, as recorded in P.B.V. 31 Pg. 2, in the 11th Ward, 7th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.  

 

Body

WHEREAS, Christopher Wright, property owner of 6701 Stanton Avenue has requested this vacation, in order to consolidate his property. 

 

All that certain lot or parcel of land, situate in the 11th Ward, 7th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which is more particularly bounded and described as follows, to wit:

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. Beginning at a point on the Westerly side of Stanton Avenue at its intersection with Bryant Street (unopened) at the dividing line of lands now or formerly Christopher A Wright; thence along the Northerly side of Bryant Street and lands now or formerly Christopher A. Wright North 75°-50’-26” West 135.40’ to a point; thence through Bryant Street South 9°-46’-34” West 28.35’ to a point; thence continuing through Bryant Street South 77°-13’-26” East 10.05’to a point; thence South 10°-00’ West 21.55’ to said point being the point of beginning.

 

Said lot or piece of ground containing an area of 3607 sq ft or 0.08281 acre.

 

Section 2. Since this portion of the right-of-way is presently unopened and unused for street or pedestrian purposes and the City has no intention to open this right-of-way, the Finance Department in line with Law Department policy, places no price or charge for this vacation.

 

Section 3. Christopher A Wright, shall within sixty (60) days after the effective date of this resolution, must record this vacation with the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate.
