WHEREAS, lifelong Pittsburgh resident Beth Tarasi holds a B. A. from the University of Pittsburgh and received a Juris Doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law. Her prestige is recognized by the U.S. District Court, as she has been admitted to practice before them as well as the Western District of Pennsylvania. Beth Tarasi’s expertise is respected amongst the realm of academia, as she is a lecturer at the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Allegheny County Bar Association, and at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute; and,

WHEREAS, Beth Tarasi is a prolific attorney; having litigated over 1200 cases. Her legacy precedes her as she is a distinguished member of the Allegheny County and American Bar Associations, Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice (Board of Governors.), and others; and,
WHEREAS, Beth Tarasi’s reputation is well respected amongst Pittsburgh’s residents, as she is regaled as compassionate, thorough, and erudite in her approach to obscure and difficult cases; and,
WHEREAS, The Tarasi Law firm is recognized nationally by numerous prestigious organizations which accept trial lawyers by invitation only, such as the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers. Best Lawyers in America, the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and many more; and,
WHEREAS, her unwavering commitment to Arlington and the Civic Council of Arlington is recognized today and has awarded her the title of Arlington’s Civic Council Person of the Year, as she lent her legal expertise to the Council, pro-bono, which aided them in acquiring ownership of the St. Clair Athletic Association and additionally, reduced the tax burden that would have resulted in the property’s acquisition; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Beth Tarasi for the inspiration that she is and commends her for her efficacy, wisdom, and passion for advocating for the residents of the City of Pittsburgh; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Friday, June 10th, 2022, to be “Beth Tarasi Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
