Resolution providing for an Agreement or Agreements with Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc. and Global Wordsmiths for the purposes of providing language accessibility and communication services in an amount not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00).

WHEREAS, the Office of Equity is in need of Language Assistance Services including but not limited to onsite, telephone, and video remote interpretation; written translation; live captioning; language access and cultural competency training; and language proficiency testing,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Equity Officer, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement or Agreements with Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc. and Global Wordsmiths for professional language accessibility and communication services, and providing for the payment thereof, at a total cost not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00). Expenditures are subject to budgetary appropriations in future years and are chargeable to and payable from the following accounts:
$20,000 payable from Account 11101.102100.53.53901.2022
$20,000 payable from Account 11101.102400.53.53901.2023
$20,000 payable from Account 11101.102400.53.53901.2024
Section 2. Said Agreement or Agreements shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form.
