Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Allegheny County Health Department for the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s 2021 Targeted Airshed Grant to purchase five battery electric refuse trucks and electric charging infrastructure and further providing for expenditures not to exceed TWO MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND ($2,800,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Allegheny County Health Department to receive a grant award in the amount of TWO MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND ($2,800,000.00) dollars for the purpose of purchasing five battery electric refuse trucks and electric charging infrastructure. Monies from the grant shall be deposited into the Grant Trust Fund account 0229400384.45115.00.

 

Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget are further authorized to enter into agreements, or contracts, or utilize existing agreements or contracts, for expenditures not to exceed TWO MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND ($2,800,000.00) dollars for the purchase of five battery electric refuse trucks and electric charging infrastructure under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Health Department, chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expenditure account in the Grants Trust Fund job number 0229400384.
