Resolution amending resolution No. 303, effective May 24, 2021, entitled “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnerships Program, to provide funding for the West Penn Playground Reconstruction Project,” to accept the grant and authorize necessary expenditures.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Resolution No. 303 of 2021, entitled “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnerships Program, to provide funding for the West Penn Playground Reconstruction Project,” is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. he Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works are authorized to apply for receive grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program for the West Penn Playground Reconstruction Project in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) DOLLARS. The total project cost is $200,000.00. The grant proposal includes an ask of $100,000 with a local match of $33,000 to come out of the 2022 City of Pittsburgh Operating Budget in the form of in-kind work and $67,000 from the 2022 City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget (JDE job number 6090000121). Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400378.45505.00. In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND ($200,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, for expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) DOLLARS for the West Penn Playground Reconstruction Project under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expenditure account in the Grants Trust Fund job number 4029400378.
Section 3. Local matches of $33,000.00 shall come from the 2022 City of Pittsburgh Operating Budget in the form of in-kind work and $67,000.00 shall come from the 2022 City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget, JDE job number 4510020122, for a total project cost of TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND ($200,000.00) dollars.
