Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Housing Authority of Pittsburgh (“HACP”).

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh announced the opening of the newly dedicated Liberty Green Park on May 1^st, 2021; and

WHEREAS, HACP pledged a contribution for annual maintenance of the Liberty Green Park in the form of program income generated by the Choice Neighborhood Implementation (“CNI”) Grant; and

WHEREAS, HACP wishes to transfer the first fifty-thousand dollars of CNI program income (or the entirety of CNI program income is such amount is less than fifty-thousand dollars) to the City on an annual basis for a period of fifteen years; and

WHEREAS, City of Pittsburgh wishes to accept such funding from HACP through a mutual agreement.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh to provide a contribution of funding to the City for annual maintenance of Liberty Green Park with all such amounts deposited into the following code account: Public Works Trust Fund, 4000284300.43709.00.
