Resolution approving execution of a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Garfield Highlands LP, or a related entity, for the sale of Block 50-H, Lot 11, and Block 50-M, Lots 1, 4, 5, 8, 44, 180, 181, and 186, in the 10^th and 11^th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh (Council District No. 9).

Whereas, pursuant to Ordinance No. 393, approved September 15, 1967, and in the manner prescribed by the Urban Redevelopment Law, 35 P.S. § 1701 et seq., as amended, the Residential Land Reserve Fund Cooperation Agreement was approved; and

Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Garfield Highlands LP, or a related entity, for the sale of Block 50-H, Lot 11, and Block 50-M, Lots 1, 4, 5, 8, 44, 180, 181, and 186, in the 10^th and 11^th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sum of $1.00 plus costs; and

Whereas, Block 50-M, Lot 181, in the 11^th Ward has been acquired by monies from the Residential Land Reserve Fund; and

Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed Contract is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.  That execution of the Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Garfield Highlands LP, or a related entity, for the sale of Block 50-H, Lot 11, and Block 50-M, Lots 1, 4, 5, 8, 44, 180, 181, and 186, in the 10^th and 11^th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh for the sum of $1.00 plus costs, be and the same is hereby approved.
