WHEREAS, Alexander Moore Fisher began his scouting journey as a Wolf Cub of Pack 601 in second grade; and,
Body
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher is a graduate of National Youth Leadership Training and a recipient of the National Outdoor Achievement Award for Camping and Hiking; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher was voted into the Order of the Arrow because he exemplifies the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher has met the requirements to earn the rank of Eagle Scout by completing a project to benefit Pittsburgh C.A.T. (Cat Adoption Team); and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher’s Eagle Scout project included gathering supplies for the care of stray cats through donation drives in Brookline and leading a delegation of scouts to clean cages at the Pittsburgh C.A.T. shelter; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher is a proud graduate of Pittsburgh Science & Technology Academy who plans to continue his education with the goal of becoming a sports broadcaster; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher’s active presence and leadership in the community has benefitted the Brookline neighborhood; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Alexander Moore Fisher; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, October 23, 2021, to be “Alexander Moore Fisher Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
