Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Resolution No. 455 of 2020, entitled “authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of City Planning to apply for a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Blight Remediation Program to study City owned vacant lots in the neighborhood of Homewood” is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to apply for grant funding from enter into an agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Blight Remediation Program in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND ($25,000.00) SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars to study City owned vacant lots in the Homewood Neighborhood. Matching funds in the amount of TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($2,500.00) dollars will be provided from the 2020 City of Pittsburgh Operating Budget, JDE object account 11101.110000.53.53901.2020. In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($27,500.00) dollars for this stated purpose. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 1129400361.45505.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into agreements or contracts, or utilize existing agreements or contracts, to make all legitimate expenditure required under the terms and conditions of the grant agreement. Said expenditures shall not exceed SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 1129400361.50000.00.
