Resolution providing for an Agreement with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for Electronic Access for Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool at no cost to the city.

WHERE AS The City of Pittsburgh desires to obtain electronic access to the Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool;
WHERE AS The Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool is created and Maintained by PennDOT to generate accident frequency histories and other comparative sire-specific and route specific accident data;
WHERE AS this data may be shared with the City of Pittsburgh as an official agency responsible for highway transportation systems and intends to use the data only for traffic safety related planning or research consistent with the requirements of PennDOT.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for Electronic Access for Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool at no cost to the city.
