WHEREAS, on July 5, 2021, Sage Emanuel Yanoff, of Scout Troop 109, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting based on responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,

WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout service project, Sage created a memorial at North Park for the victims of the tragedy at the Tree of Life Congregation; and,
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Allegheny County, Sage worked diligently for almost 200 hours through its completion. He planned, and planted 11 various trees in memory of the 11 victims of the Tree of Life mass shooting of October 27, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Yanoff’s leadership position in Troop 109 included being Senior Patrol Leader from September 4, 2019 to September 4, 2020; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Eagle Scout Sage Emanuel Yanoff for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare to be “Eagle Scout Sage Emanuel Yanoff Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
